Linda asks for more info about this:
The Common Craft Show is an online demonstration of how each of these tools work. Social networking is the phrase used for the kind of BLOGing we are doing. Connecting and interconnecting.
Wikis are collaborative online sites - example is http://www.wikipedia.org
RSS stands for "Real Simple Syndication"
Best way to understand these is to watch the online "demos" on blip.tv

About neuroscience and aging
"Childhood intelligence and cognitive ageing: From genes to healthy behaviour in old age"
Experience in early life contributes to optimum brain development. By age 12-15 years, the brain has a substantial capacity to withstand injury, disease and ageing. By old age, this capacity (hypothesised as "cerebral reserve") is a critical determinant of individual differences in cognitive ageing and progress to dementia. Cognitive ageing and dementia have complex, multifactorial causes. Part of this complexity is attributable to the many influences on “cerebral reserve”.
